Arcadia Creative Writing Program to Work with Mighty Writers

By Christopher Sarachilli | November 3, 2015

On Tuesday, Nov. 3, Arcadia’s undergraduate creative writing students will work with Philadelphia’s Mighty Writers program for a day on campus event. The event begins with a meet-and-greet at noon in the Castle Dining Room, with open mic readings set for 2-4 p.m. in the Stein Fireplace Lounge.

The Mighty Writers organization helps children from the Philadelphia area write and think clearly to aid in school and future careers. Mighty Writers offers free courses to Philadelphia students that range from general writing courses to SAT prep and college essay help.

Previous Arcadia creative writing collaborations with Mighty Writers have included a visit to the organization’s West Philadelphia location, detailed on Because Arcadia.
