Art and Community Service Combine for Annual Exhibit

By Christopher Sarachilli | December 3, 2015

On Thursday, Dec. 10, students from the University Seminar “Artist in the Community” will showcase art produced over the fall semester in the class’s annual art exhibition, located for the first time this year in Thrall Gallery in Spruance Fine Arts Center, at 3:30 p.m.

The class, taught by Adjunct Professor of Education Linda Ruth Paskell, combines creative expression with community outreach and service. Over the fall, students worked with social service organizations Depaul USA, Hope Gardens, Our Lady of Confidence Day School, and Parkway Northwest High School for Peace and Social Justice.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.
