By Christopher Sarachilli | January 27, 2016

The Department of Athletics was recognized for its community service efforts by the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) and Jostens for the third consecutive year. Arcadia is one of only three institutions to receive the Award of Merit, the second-highest honor in its category, for the 2014-15 academic year.

Arcadia’s student-athletes, coaches, and staff participated in more than 20 community service events during the 2014-15 academic year, including food drives, toy drives, community beautification projects, and free youth clinics. They also raised funds for organizations such as Aid for Friends, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, HEADstrong, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Montgomery County Rotary Special Athletes, Movember, Philabundance, Special Olympics, Kay Yow Foundation, and more.
