CCEC Offers Valentine’s Day Gifts to Help Fund Alternative Spring Break

By Caitlin Burns | February 3, 2016

The Community and Civic Engagement Center (CCEC) will host its annual Valentine’s Day sale from Feb. 10 to 12. Buy your sweetie something sweet, such as chocolate-covered pretzels, chocolate bars, and stuffed animals. These items will be available for purchase in the Chat from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Dining Hall from 5 to 7 p.m.

The money from the sale will go toward the Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trip to Mexico. Volunteers on ASB will assist Esperanza International in building homes in solidarity of resources for poor communities in a border region of Mexico. This volunteer opportunity is an integrated learning experience that encourages students to participate in Mexican culture and assist the local community.
