Trustee Dr. Allison Rossett ’68 and Spencer Lalk ’13 (left) met during the winter in hopes of collaborating through Lalk’s nonprofit, the Soccer Unity Project, which provides children and their families the opportunity to be a part of a fun and educational soccer community, while giving back to those in need. Dr. Rossett read about Lalk and Patrick Swank ’14 (right), a head coach in the project, in the Alumni Spotlight and reached out to seehow she and her wife could help.

Through their meeting, Dr. Rossett hoped to help Lalk assist more communities in San Diego. Lalk said the collaboration was a learning experience for him, and it helped him restructure fundraising efforts and brainstorm improvements for involvement.

“A ton of great minds have come out of Arcadia,” Lalk said. “Opportunities to collaborate are important and help improve the world around us.”
