Arcadia University’s For the Women student organization will perform Tony Award winning writer Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” on Friday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. in Stiteler Auditorium, 450 S. Easton Road, Glenside.

Tickets are $7 to $10 and can be purchased at the Chat the week of Feb. 13, or at the show. All proceeds benefit A Woman’s Place, a nonprofit organization in Bucks County that assists domestic violence victims.

“The Vagina Monologues” is an Obie award-winning episodic play focused on ending violence against women and girls. Performed in a collection of monologues by women of diverse backgrounds and ages, the characters discuss their relationships with their body, sexuality, and violence, including a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a woman witnessing the birth of her granddaughter, and a Bosnian survivor of rape. Since its original performance in October 1996, “The Vagina Monologues” has been performed on hundreds of stages worldwide, and made into a TV movie.
