By Caitlin Burns | February 28, 2017

Dr. Hal Halbert, associate professor of English at Montgomery County Community College and comic book podcaster, will explore the evolution of Superman with an in-depth presentation on Wednesday, March 1. Superman Through the Ages is hosted in conjunction with the University seminar “Hero Culture: A Quest for Truth,” and will be in Dining Hall Room 107 at 7:15 p.m.

Following the presentation, Dr. Halbert will open up the floor to discussions and take questions from the audience.

As an American cultural icon, Superman has been saving the world for more than 80 years, undergoing many changes along the way. Dr. Halbert’s presentation will take audiences on a visual journey that tracks the Man of Steel through literature and film, while analyzing the real-life events and social movements that have shaped him.

This event is free and open to the public.
