August Presidential Search Update

By Caitlin Burns | August 4, 2017

Dear Arcadia University friends,

As my first formal act as chair of the Board of Trustees, it was a privilege to help welcome Interim President Hank Brown and his wife, Nan, to our campus community. The outpouring of support and attendees at our welcome reception for the Browns speaks of the closeness of this University community. We are confident that Hank, with decades of successful experience in higher education and as an executive, will provide steady leadership for Arcadia through the upcoming academic year, and we look forward to working alongside him during this time.

The most important charge we now face as a University community is to complete our search for the next president of Arcadia. We are committed to the transparent Presidential Search process we have worked hard to accomplish over the past seven months. An essential ingredient in ensuring inclusivity is for University community members to remain engaged by posing questions, providing feedback, and participating at every opportunity throughout the process.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to thank each of the members of the Presidential Search Committee for their dedication and commitment. They have worked to determine which applicants from the candidate pool to invite to campus for interviews. Once dates are finalized, a schedule to meet the top candidates will be communicated to the campus community.

We encourage you to continue to submit feedback and ideas through the Presidential Search website. Along with Jey Auritt ’71, Chair of the Presidential Search Committee, I will read and ensure that each submission receives a response.

I look forward to seeing you on campus during the fall semester.

Sincerely,

Alison (Aaron) Madsen, Esq. ’85
Chair of the Board of Trustees
