Computer Science Team Places in National Cyber League Competition

Arcadia’s Computer Science Cybersecurity Student Team participated in the National Cyber League (NCL), a cloud-based cybersecurity competition held Nov. 3 to 5.

Arcadia’s team, led by Assistant Professor of Computer Science Vitaly Ford, placed 33 out of 174 teams, completing 87 percent of cybersecurity challenges. The team was comprised of Angela Ludovico ’18, Andrew Pressman ’20, Logan Vaughan ’19, Jialei Chen ’18, Phivian Phun ’19, Nicole Mueller ’19, Brian Muller ’19, Xander Hosseini ’20, and Brian Fridman ’18.

With more than 3,000 participants, NCL offered challenges such as open source intelligence, password cracking, scanning and reconnaissance, cryptography, log analysis, network traffic analysis, wireless access exploitation, and application exploitation.
