Community members with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease have found a refuge in the Dan Aaron Stay Fit Exercise Program in the Physical Therapy Department. Since 2004, the program has supported patients and caregivers with an intensive exercise program that provides a safe environment to maintain and improve their endurance and mobility.

For the ninth year in a row, The Parkinson Council has awarded a $17,000 grant to the program. Grants have enabled the development of exercise initiatives, caregiver support groups, and hands-on student experiences that benefit local patients.

The program was founded by Gerri Aaron ’14H and her family in 2004 through the Dan Aaron Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, which is part of the Parkinson Council in Philadelphia.
