The Office of Career Education hosted “Grad School Explained” featuring author Dr. Don Martin on Jan. 29. At the event, Dr. Martin, who has previously served as dean of graduate admissions to several academic institutions, explained the process of writing effective personal statements, researching grad school programs, and having a successful application process.

Afterward his presentation, Dr. Martin hosted a Q&A session where students could further inquire about how to customize their personal statements and build rapport with admissions representatives. The event also offered a raffle for Dr. Martin’s book Map to Grad Study.
