CARES Act Grant Fund Relief for Students

By Jen Retter | April 16, 2020
The recently passed federal CARES Act allocates emergency grant funds to higher education institutions to award to students impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Arcadia is committed to quickly identifying and providing relief to students in need.

To begin the application process, if you or your immediate family (as defined in the FAFSA) are experiencing a financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic:

  1. Contact Arcadia’s Financial Aid Office at FAReview@arcadia.edu with the Subject: “COVID Impact” by May 1.
  2. Briefly summarize the financial impact that COVID-19 has had on you (food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, child care, etc.).
  3. Reply to any next steps requested by the Financial Aid Team (which could include completing additional paperwork and/or answering additional questions).

Arcadia will evaluate requests based on student need and available funding. We anticipate conducting several rounds of these federal emergency grant requests. To be considered for this first round of grants, please email FAReview@arcadia.edu no later than May 1.
