Arcadia Receives $1 Million Grant for Campus Renovations from PA Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program

Arcadia University is proud to announce that it has received a $1 million grant from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) for construction, renovation, and other related costs for a multi-purpose center.  

The RACP is administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects. Einstein Medical Center Elkins and the Salus University Orthotics and Prosthetics program, among other local organizations, also received funding. 

Arcadia would like to especially thank State Senator Art Haywood and recently retired Representative Steve McCarter, as well as all those who helped to secure this funding, including Governor Tom Wolf; U.S. Reps. Madeleine Dean and Dwight Evans; State Reps. Ben Sanchez, and Napoleon Nelson; Abington Commissions Matt Vahey and Bill Bole; Cheltenham Township Commissioners Daniel Norris and Matt Areman; Montgomery County Commissioners Dr. Val Arkoosh and Ken Lawrence, and Dave Zellers, director of Commerce for the county; Cheltenham School District Superintendent Dr. Wagner Marseille; Vice President Therapy Services, Good Shepherd Penn Partners Kim Grosch; Downtown Glenside Foundation Board Chair Maureen Haff.
