Welcome to the Spring Semester

By Caitlin T. Burns | January 25, 2021

Dear Arcadia Students,

Welcome to the spring 2021 semester! As our partial re-opening progresses, we are excited to have many of you back on campus. For those who are continuing to engage remotely, we remain committed to providing the best possible experience. For all of you, please know how much we admire your focus and persistence and how much we appreciate your care and concern for each other.

While disruptions from the pandemic persist, we are fully mobilized to deliver on our educational mission while protecting the health and safety of our community. We are excited to offer increased opportunities to connect and learn this semester, and we remain hopeful that public health best practices and widespread vaccinations will soon tip the scales toward fewer restrictions here in Glenside and beyond.

We look forward to sharing information about the latest student support funds we are slated to receive from the federal government. As we did with the first round of CARES Act funds, we will depend on you to let us know what you need to succeed. Details about how to apply are coming soon.

Thanks to all faculty and staff who have endeavored tirelessly to deliver compelling and safe learning and extra-curricular experiences. And special thanks to our Residential Life and Facilities teams for their hard work in preparing our residence halls and other facilities to open this semester.

Your success defines our success. We thank you for stepping up to build a better world, and we look forward to celebrating your success and achievements this semester.

Sincerely,

Jeff Rutenbeck
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
