On Monday, Sept. 13, Arcadia University and Delaware College of Art and Design signed an articulation agreement to open pathways for students earning associate’s degrees at DCAD to complete their baccalaureate degrees at Arcadia University. DCAD President Jean Dahlgren and Dean Katy Ro joined Arcadia Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Jeff Rutenbeck and Vice Provost and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Rebecca Kohn for the signing, which took place in Grey Towers Castle.

“Colleges and universities provide transformational experiences to help students realize their full potential in their field of study,” said Dr. Rutenbeck. “Articulation agreements such as this between Arcadia University and Delaware College of Art and Design is another way that both of our institutions can provide important opportunities for our students — another opportunity for them to further develop their skills, another opportunity for them to follow their vision and move closer to their career and artistic goals.”

Provost Rutenbeck noted that several members of the Arcadia community worked to bring this agreement to fruition over the past three years, including:

  • Carole Loeffler, associate professor and chair of Art and Design
  • Vice Provost and Dean Rebecca Kohn
  • Associate Provost Sandra Crenshaw
