Arcadia University and the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP) are pleased to announce that Arcadia has joined the WTCGP’s Leadership Council. The WTCGP will work with the School of Global Business at Arcadia to invite students interested in international business to learn more about the WTCGP and its partners and members by participating in international meetings and events, WTCGP site visits to businesses, and classroom visits by WTCGP trade specialists.

In addition, Arcadia University will again host the WTCGP’s day-long, one-on-one meetings between international companies from Southeastern Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania’s Authorized Trade Representatives (ATR’s). Pennsylvania’s ATR’s provide in-country assistance and market intelligence and work closely with WTCGP trade specialists to identify overseas partners and help grow business for international companies. The ATR’s cover 55 markets from 19 foreign offices.

“The School of Global Business at Arcadia University is proud to sponsor Pennsylvania International Week on our beautiful campus, where students have the opportunity to participate in the interaction between Authorized Trade Representatives and regional business executives seeking to determine market demand or export their products to over 30 countries around the globe,” said Dr. Alla Wilson, dean of Arcadia’s School of Global Business. “Arcadia values the tremendous opportunity this partnership will provide our students, staff, faculty, and centers around the world.”

The WTCGP accelerates global business growth for companies in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey by providing customized, one-on-one trade counseling, market research, educational programs, trade mission support, business networking events, and powerful connections to customers and partners worldwide, including 326 world trade centers in 92 countries. Since 2002, the WTCGP has served as a catalyst for regional economic growth and job creation, helping area companies generate over $1.3B in incremental export sales, supporting more than 16,000 jobs.
