Arteaga ’18M, MPH Receives Health Sciences Scholarship

Jose Arteaga ’18M, MPH, a student in the Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Medical Science (MMS) dual degree program, was award the 2016 Hortense T. Moss Graduate Scholarship in Health Sciences, given to an exceptional graduate student upon completion of his or her first year in a full-time graduate health-related program. 

In addition to leading his class academically, Arteaga has worked to address homelessness in Philadelphia through both his public health internship and Capstone Project in Public Health. Arteaga received the scholarship at an April 5 ceremony recognizing the Public Health program’s elevation to department status.
