Class of 2022 Spotlight: Emily Franzone

Emily Franzone

Degree: Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant program

Undergraduate: Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland, where she worked as a research assistant for the Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory and the Department of Diagnostic Radiology for the School of Medicine.

Certifications: Emily is licensed in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.

Experience: Emily has worked as an adventure program trip leader and a challenge course facilitator at University Recreation and Wellness, as a physical therapy technician at Pivot Physical Therapy, and as a college program intern at Walt Disney World.

Scholarship: Emily’s capstone project was, “Current Recommendations and Future Considerations in the Treatment of Fibromyalgia.”

After Arcadia: Emily was accepted into a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Wilmington, Delaware.
