Sept. 1 Free Jazz Under the Stars Concert: The Sound of New Orleans

Come out for a night of free entertainment listening to The Sound of New Orleans on Thursday, Sept. 1, at Easton Pond. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and is expected to last one hour. 

Performers include:

  • Ed Etkins, adjunct professor of Visual and Performing Arts at Arcadia (woodwinds)
  • Marcell Bellinger, adjunct professor at Temple University (trumpet)
  • Stephen Kleiman, adjunct professor of Music at Arcadia (guitar)
  • Bruce Kaminsky, adjunct instructor at Drexel University (double bass)
  • Sean J. Kennedy, principal percussionist with the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale (drums)
  • Samuel Heifetz, adjunct professor of Music at Arcadia  (piano)

The concert is free and open to the public, and will feature guest tap dancer Katherine Sledge Moore, associate professor of psychology at Arcadia. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be in Grey Towers Castle.
