Staying Sane Through Baking
The only way I’ve stayed sane through this COVID-craziness is by making food. Yes, I’ve made my own loaves of herbal bread (sourdough hasn’t been my thing), but it doesn’t have to be dramatic as that. Even taking the time to assemble a sandwich or toss a small salad together can give my mental state a little boost.
The thing I like about preparing food—whether through baking or warming up a slice of pizza—is that there’s a set list of things I have to do. My brain can’t get distracted and start worrying about literally everything unless I want to burn the cookies in the oven!
