Learn Leadership Techniques at Business Intelligence Series, May 4

Arcadia University’s Business Intelligence Series at the King of Prussia Campus features professionals and industry experts who share their strategies for business and provide a “how to” for success. The series is free and open to the public at Arcadia University’s King of Prussia Campus, 1150 First Ave., Suite 700.

May 4: Dr. Karen Lawson, President of Lawson Consulting Group, Inc., will discuss Growing Greatness: How to Cultivate the Truly Outstanding Leader in You. Participants will learn leadership techniques to help influence others to get things done and examine their own leadership style and behaviors. Lawson is a consultant, executive coach and author, specializing in organization and management development. She was named one of Pennsylvania’s “Best 50 Women in Business” as well as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Women of Distinction.”

May 11: Director and Chief of Protocol of International Business Protocol LLC, Robert W. Frye joins the series and will speak on The Competitive Advantage of Knowing and Applying International Protocol and Cross Culture Issues. Frye will explain how protocol is used in building relationships, facilitating sales and eliminating cultural distractions in global business issues. The former Chief of Protocol for AT&T and Lucent Technologies, Frye has managed international sales, events, and budgets for the U.S. Embassy, Baghdad, Iraq, the National Museum of the U.S. Army and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

May 18: Chuck Polin, President of The Training Resource Group, will discuss “Networking” or “Not Working,” a presentation for those who have spent time networking without generating desired results. Guests will learn the do’s and don’ts of networking and strategize how to make sure their networking develops into profitable business. Polin has managed sales forces, directed marketing campaigns and was president of a Fortune 500 company division. He has recently been named Small Business Person of the Year by The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

May 25: Teressa Moore Griffin, is Founder and CEO, Spirit of Purpose, and will speak about LIES That Limit ® Your Success. Guests will learn how to lead people, create change and add value to interactions with key stakeholders. Moore Griffin is the author of LIES That Limit: Uncover the Truth Of Who You Really Are. She is a certified Core Energetics Therapist and a personal growth coach who helps executives overcome professional obstacles and appears regularly on FOX and KYW News Radio. She also is a 1978 graduate of Arcadia University.

A briefing is held each Wednesday, with a complimentary breakfast at 7:30 a.m. followed by the featured speaker from 8 to 9 a.m. Guests will learn useful techniques for business practices and have the opportunity to meet leaders in the greater Philadelphia area.
