OCE Provides Unique Interviewing Opportunities for Students

To make the career search easier for students, Arcadia University’s Office of Career Education (OCE) offers on-campus interview opportunities with organizations that have job and internship openings.

“We want students to have as much access to our employer partners as possible,” said OCE Assistant Director Mia Wittels, who reaches out to employers throughout the academic year to create flexible interview schedules. “We offer several ways to foster these connections, but the On-Campus Interview Days allow students to conduct first-round interviews for real positions.”

Student have found success with this program, since it works with all class and extracurricular schedules. Keith Bacote ’18, an Accounting major, took part in on-campus interviews last fall for his current internship at USLI, an insurance group in Wayne, Pa.

“The On-Campus Interview Day application process was extremely easy,” said Bacote. “I was able to find an interview time that conveniently fit with my schedule. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to interview on campus, as I would not have known about the internship otherwise.”

This year, OCE brought several organizations to campus, including Aflac, SEI, Reminder Media, and Epic Developmental Services. In April, SEI, Delaware Valley Residential Care, PNC Bank, and Heraeus will conduct interviews for internship and full-time positions. Students can learn more about the positions offered and request an interview in KnightLink.

Prior to the interview, OCE encourages students to drop-in for resume reviews during Express Advising Hours. Professional attire and resume copies are expected at interviews.
