Arcadia’s Department of PT Welcomes Students from Cardenal Herrera University in Madrid

In June, Arcadia University welcomed five international students from Cardenal Herrera University (CEU) in Madrid, Spain to participate in a pilot program with Arcadia’s Department of Physical Therapy. During orientation, the CEU students experienced classic Philadelphia foods at Reading Terminal Market, explored medical oddities at the Mutter Museum, and learned about Philadelphia’s rich history through a tour of Independence Mall. For most of the students, this was their first time in Philadelphia.

Following their arrival weekend, they transitioned into their coursework which included classroom learning related to cervical spine and vestibular disorders. They also gained practical experience at Arcadia’s Pro Bono Clinic and StayFit program, as well as a private off-campus clinic in Jenkintown. Students were able to collaborate and make meaningful connections with our American students in classes while gaining hands-on practical experiences. In their 6 short weeks, they had a full schedule and a warm welcome from our staff and faculty.
